We Won Gold (Again) — Here's What It Means to Us

We did it.

The results of the 2026 Free From Food Awards are in, and Mama Dolce walked away with not one but three Gold Medals. We're thrilled, we're proud, and honestly, we're a little overwhelmed.

But more than the medals, we want to talk about why this matters.

What are the Free From Food Awards?

The Free From Food Awards are the UK's only awards dedicated entirely to allergen-free food and drink. Every year, a panel of expert judges (including people with lived experience of food allergies and intolerances) blind taste test hundreds of products across dozens of categories.

There's nowhere to hide. The product either stands up or it doesn't.

So when our Coconilla took Gold in Desserts & Puddings, and our Chocolate Indulgence took Gold in both Desserts & Puddings and Almost Totally Free From, we knew it meant something real.

Why we enter

We don't make free-from ice cream because it's a trend. We make it because we genuinely believe everyone deserves an incredible dessert. No substitutions, no sad alternatives, no sitting out while everyone else has pudding.

Winning at the Free From Awards is validation that we're getting that right. That the ice cream we're obsessing over in our kitchen is landing the way we hoped it would. That the ingredients we're sourcing from Ecuador, Sri Lanka, Madagascar and beyond are doing exactly what we need them to do.

It's proof that free-from doesn't mean free-from flavour.

What's next

We're not resting on it. There are new flavours in development, new stockists in conversation, and a whole lot more ice cream to make. This award is a milestone, not a finish line.
